This webpage visualizes a gene interaction network based on Suriyalaksh et al., 2021 Gene Regulatory Network inference in long-lived C. elegans reveals modular properties that are predictive of novel ageing genes. This network is constructed based on high-throughput gene expression assays of 19 novel regulators, and to contextualise our findings age-1 and daf-16. We used RNAi to decrease the expression of the regulators and measured their impacts on 177 genes related to ageing and metabolism. We then used PCC to construct a weighted, directed gene-interaction network.

Instructions

  1. Type one of the following gene names in the "Find Regulator" box. age-1, ahcy-1, attf-3, b0336.3, c04f5.9, daf-16, dnj-11, f26a10.2, gei-17, gei-3, hmbx-1, hmg-1.2, isw-1, mgl-2, nduf-6, pqm-1, sdc-3, somi-1, sup-37, zgpa-1, zip-3
  2. Select an absolute correlation value cutoff. Interactions that will be shown will have correlation values higher than the selected cutoff.
  3. Choose a p-value cutoff. Interactions that will be shown will have p-values lower than the selected cutoff.

Some thresholds will generate interaction lists which are too large to display. In these cases you will see a warning message at the bottom of the filter box and you will need to increase the stringency of filtering to allow the network to be drawn.
